FAQs
Frequently Asked Questions
What is a notary public?
A notary public is a state-appointed official who verifies the identity of document signers, ensures they are signing willingly, and helps deter fraud by witnessing signatures and completing notarial acts.
What forms of identification do you accept?
A current, government-issued photo ID is required for all notarizations. Acceptable forms of identification include:
• Driver’s License
• State Identification Card
• U.S. Passport
• Military ID
The ID must be valid and not expired.
Do you have a physical office, or are you mobile only?
Yes! Secure Elite Notary, LLC proudly offers both in-office and mobile notary services.
You’re welcome to visit our office for a convenient walk-in or scheduled appointment. If you prefer, we can also travel to your home, office, hospital, nursing facility, business, or another mutually agreed-upon location.
Whether you come to us or we come to you, our goal is to make the notarization process simple, professional, and convenient.
Do I need an appointment?
Walk-ins are welcome during business hours when a notary is available. However, we recommend scheduling an appointment to minimize wait times and ensure a notary is ready to assist you.
If you need a mobile notary, appointments are required so we can coordinate a convenient time and location.
What are the benefits of visiting your office?
What areas do you serve?

What should I have ready for my appointment?
Please have:
• Your unsigned documents (unless instructed otherwise)
• A valid government-issued photo ID
• All required signers present
• Any required witnesses (if applicable)
If witnesses are required and you’re unable to provide them, please ask when scheduling your appointment to discuss available options.
Can you provide legal advice?
No. A notary public cannot provide legal advice, explain legal documents, or recommend which documents you should sign. If you have legal questions, you should consult a licensed attorney.
Do you notarize documents in hospitals, nursing homes, or assisted living facilities?
Yes. We regularly travel to hospitals, rehabilitation centers, nursing homes, assisted living communities, and hospice facilities.
Can you notarize documents for someone who is out of state?
Yes. As long as the notarization takes place in Georgia and the signer personally appears before the notary, we can notarize documents intended for use in another state.
Can you notarize documents for another country?
In many cases, yes. Documents being used internationally can often be notarized if the notarization complies with Georgia law. Additional authentication, such as an apostille, may be required depending on the destination country.
Do all signers need to be present?
Yes. Every person whose signature is being notarized must personally appear before the notary at the time of notarization.
How much do your services cost?
Pricing varies based on the type of notarization, travel distance, number of notarizations, and appointment time. Contact us for a personalized quote before your appointment.
